What is coaching?
Coaching is an empowerment process where the coach uses inquiry to delve to discover and help you clarify vision and direction for your goals. The coach then provides structure, support, accountability, inspiration and guidance for you to reach your ultimate goal(s). Knowing that you are the expert for your life, the coach oftentimes provides a sounding board and guides you to strategize your actions. Coaching also create the opportunity for creating breakthroughs to any blocks (doubts, fears, limiting beliefs) you may have and replace those with empowering beliefs. Coaching is an investment in you, your purpose, your vision and way of life.
Coaching works for any area of life and is transformational, but a coach is not a therapist. A coach is a collaborator in the embodiment of your life’s vision. Coaching is a relationship between peers - horizontal, not vertical. In coaching, you set the agenda and desired outcomes.
Why mindfulness-based coaching?
Mindfulness increases our capacity to experience our lives more fully. When we work on creating the life we want, if we are mindfully present, the joy and excitement of reaching our vision and goals can be experienced more vividly. There is no point in stepping into the vision of our dreams if we are not present to experience it. Mindfulness-based coaching incorporates mindfulness exercises along with the coaching so that as we progress to our vision, we'll have an awakened presence growing and strengthening along the way.
